Do you go to sleep early? Do you do laundry during the day or at night?<\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Electricity Free Nights<\/span><\/h2>\n<p>Is it really for you? In this blog, I am going to explain to you how free nights work.<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #3366ff;\">Very few things in life are free<\/span><\/em>, and electricity is not one of them. \u00a0In order for your electric company to offer you free nights, they must raise your kilowatt rate during the day. \u00a0For example, TXU charges a rate of 12.9\u20b5 per kilowatt but you must consume 2000 kWh per month during the day, if you consume less than 2000 kWh then your kWh will raise anything from 13.70\u20b5\u00a0 up to 15.20\u20b5 per kWh.<\/p>\n<p>Electricity free nights start every night at 9:00 PM and end at 5:59 am, which means that from 6:00 am to 8:59 PM you will be paying a higher kilowatt rate, 15 hours a day at a 12.9\u20b5 or 15.20\u20b5. and only 9 free hours, which are not completely free since you still paying a TDU charge and a monthly base charge of $9.95 per month. Also, all electricity-free night plans require a 24-month contract, and they have an early cancellation fee of $295.<\/p>\n<p>In my opinion, unless you are a night owl, the Electricity free nights plan is not for you, since you will have to cook, do laundry, or even turn on your AC during the night.
