• Don’t make payments through a mobile app like Cash App, Venmo, Zelle, etc.

• Demand that the contract be sent to you in writing or by email.

• Ask for the legal name of the electricity company and its REP number

It’s not that hard to catch these scams. The big problem is that we are naive and we only care about the result without seeing the consequences. Like I said earlier, someone is being tricked. I really hope it’s not you.
